As an Associate Creative Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and art direction of TurboTax's brand. You will be responsible for crafting visual systems, innovative digital experiences, motion languages, and brand campaigns that resonate with our diverse audience. Your expertise in delivering strategically grounded thinking across art direction, design, and animation will be crucial in pushing the boundaries of brand storytelling. In this role, you will collaborate closely with copywriters, product designers, strategists, and channel leads to develop big ideas and drive the visual identity across various brand touchpoints. You will need to demonstrate a world-class portfolio that showcases your proficiency in visual design, UI and UX design, and typography. Your experience should reflect a strong understanding of the project lifecycle, necessary timelines, business challenges, and effective team communication. You will also be expected to lead and inspire your team, establishing a high bar for design thinking and execution while cultivating a strong creative vision. Responsibilities

• Push creative boundaries and drive innovative design solutions.
• Inspire and lead your team with a strong point of view and creative vision.
• Concept, iterate, prototype, and test to deliver strategic and elegant solutions.
• Build and manage client partnerships from project kickoff to timely delivery.
• Visually and verbally communicate concepts and strategies behind your work.
• Lead projects and internal or external teams autonomously with limited process and hierarchy.
• Balance multiple project assignments or business challenges with a steady disposition.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in visual design with a focus on crafting systems and marketing experiences for brands, campaigns, and events either at agencies or in-house.
• Proven experience collaborating with internal teams and partnering with clients.
• Deep knowledge and skills in visual design, UI and UX design, and typography.
• Fluency in current industry design and prototyping tools.
• Strong strategic thinking with awareness of the project lifecycle, necessary timelines, business challenges, and team communication.
• Strong presentation skills to build alignment with senior leadership.
• An understanding of how to art direct and design within visual and motion identity systems.
