About the position

The Associate Creative Director at Veeva Systems will play a pivotal role in the Creative Services team, focusing on the planning and execution of creative strategies for various digital and printed marketing materials. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality assets that support Veeva's SaaS products in the life sciences sector. The role emphasizes leadership in design quality, strategic partnership with stakeholders, and the evolution of Veeva's brand expression.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior member of the creative team, establishing design guidelines and reviewing team output for quality and strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders as a creative and strategic partner, sharing best practices and recommending informed creative solutions.
  • Lead and execute design solutions for various marketing assets, including event collateral, reports, case studies, and social media graphics.
  • Own and drive execution for complex digital and printed projects with minimal oversight.
  • Establish and refine creative processes to ensure speed, efficiency, and excellence in execution.
  • Manage the project queue of ongoing projects with speed, flexibility, and quality.
  • Contribute to exploring and evolving Veeva's brand expression.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant in-house/agency experience with B2B marketing design (print and digital).
  • At least 2 years of in-house experience.
  • 2+ years working remotely on a team across multiple international time zones.
  • 2+ years experience as a creative team lead, providing feedback and inspiring high-level creative execution.
  • Portfolio demonstrating high craft and design excellence in brand marketing graphic applications, preferably in a complex B2B context.
  • Expert-level skill in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience in Adobe XD and Microsoft PowerPoint preferred.
  • Exceptional typography, layout, and image-making abilities.
  • Strong interactive/web design skills with an understanding of accessibility and UX best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to deliver high-quality projects on time.
  • Ability to anticipate and plan for unknown requirements.
  • Positive mental attitude and internal drive to do the right thing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Developed skills in data visualization/information design, motion graphics, illustration, or icon design.
