About the position

As an Associate Creative Director (ACD) at tms, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic and innovative environment that thrives on creativity and collaboration. This position is designed for individuals who are not only passionate about creative copywriting but also eager to lead and inspire a team of talented Copywriters, Art Directors, and Designers. Your primary focus will be on producing compelling and engaging content that resonates with consumers and builds strong emotional connections with the audience. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is dedicated to pushing boundaries and challenging conventional thinking, ensuring that every project is not just executed but is also strategically driven and thought-provoking. In this role, you will be involved in every stage of the creative process, from ideation to execution. You will interpret and interrogate client briefs to create work that is not only visually stunning but also strategically sound. Your ability to present ideas confidently and persuasively will be crucial, as you will be required to communicate your vision to both internal teams and clients. You will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Strategy, and Account leads to deliver work that is engaging, on-brief, and disruptive, ensuring that the final output is memorable and impactful. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring and managing the creative talent within your team, helping to foster a culture of growth and development. You will oversee the development of brand guidelines that define the verbal tone and copy direction for various brands, ensuring consistency across all channels. Additionally, you will supervise the creation of engaging digital experiences and coach both internal teams and clients on best practices in digital experience design. This role is ideal for someone who is fearless, passionate, and imaginative, with a strong desire to push the boundaries of strategic storytelling and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the ideation and execution of various client programs and brand promotions.
  • Interpret and interrogate briefs to create strategically driven, thought-provoking, and compelling work.
  • Present fresh perspectives and big idea thinking to larger groups or clients confidently.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of clients' businesses, brands, consumers, and competitive landscapes to inform brand engagements.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow copywriting and creative talent while leading the copy discipline.
  • Oversee and develop brand guidelines that define the verbal tone and copy direction across various channels.
  • Supervise and craft engaging digital experiences, coaching internal teams and clients on best-in-class digital design.
  • Ensure a consistent writing approach for the copy discipline and copywriters/content creators.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of creative copywriting experience in an agency or brand space.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and sell creative vision.
  • Ability to write clear, succinct, and persuasive copy.
  • Adaptable with a strong grasp of developing and overseeing copy and content creation for various media.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing recent projects that demonstrate creative thinking and flawless execution.
  • Experience in developing TV and/or online video scripts, with knowledge of production and casting processes.
  • Critical attention to detail in copy and the copy craft.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple client projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in digital marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness.
