About the position

The Associate Creative Director at Creighton University plays a pivotal role in assisting the Creative Director with the development of unique creative assets aimed at engaging the target audience while upholding brand standards. This position involves leading the creative team in producing visual and storytelling elements that enhance brand awareness, student enrollment, retention, and fundraising efforts. The Associate Creative Director also serves as the lead designer on significant creative projects and manages the graphic designers within the team, ensuring alignment with the university's goals and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Creative Director in developing creative direction and strategy for various projects.
  • Lead the creative team in creating visual and storytelling elements that align with brand standards.
  • Design marketing campaigns and projects, including high-profile campaigns.
  • Oversee the user experience of the Creighton Template Hub and PhotoShelter.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure creative solutions meet project objectives.
  • Provide constructive feedback and inspiration to the creative team, including graphic designers, videographers, and photographers.
  • Evaluate projects and connect them to larger university goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, or marketing.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering creative solutions for advertising and marketing strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of production procedures and web design principles.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft software.
  • Experience using project management systems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for presenting ideas and persuading others.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts.
