About the position

The Associate Creative Director at Creighton University plays a pivotal role in assisting the Creative Director with the development of unique creative assets aimed at engaging the target audience while upholding brand standards. This position involves leading the creative team in creating visual and storytelling elements that focus on brand awareness, student enrollment, retention, and fundraising. The Associate Creative Director also serves as the lead designer on significant creative projects and manages the graphic designers within the team, ensuring alignment with the university's goals and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Creative Director in developing creative direction and strategy for various projects.
  • Lead the creative team in executing key department platforms and activities, such as the Template Hub and PhotoShelter.
  • Design marketing campaigns and projects, including high-profile campaigns, while leading by example with strong design skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure creative solutions meet project objectives.
  • Provide constructive feedback and inspiration to the creative team, including graphic designers, videographers, and photographers.
  • Oversee the user experience of the Creighton Template Hub and PhotoShelter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, or marketing.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering creative solutions for advertising and marketing strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of production procedures, web design principles, and computer software (Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft, etc.).
  • Experience using project management systems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to present ideas and persuade others.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts.
