About the position

The Associate Application Engineer position at Grundfos USA involves providing technical support and customer service within the Customer Sales Support Center (CSSC) Back Office team. The role focuses on assisting customers with inquiries related to product sizing, applications, and system solutions, while also supporting sales teams and enhancing customer relationships. This position operates on a hybrid schedule from the Americas headquarters in Brookshire, TX, and requires effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to Customers regarding product sizing, applications, system solutions, and installations.
  • Identify and implement value-added services to enhance customer relationships.
  • Support sales teams by handling tenders and projects, including providing specifications and calculations.
  • Identify business opportunities and handover to external sales.
  • Assist and provide solutions for the CSSC Back Office teams/Application Engineers.
  • Act as a deputy in a local team setting as defined by leadership.
  • Provide local support for fixed I/O controls and PLC based control systems.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience (minimum of 1+ years of experience).
  • Application engineering experience in the pump industry preferred.
  • Previous experience within Customer Services and relevant administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of business structure, products, and key market needs for a customer-centric experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP CRM/SD.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Fundamental product and application knowledge of pump and pumping systems.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex problems or tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to share information and assist others.
  • Experience in anticipating customer's future needs.
  • Good communication and networking skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the pump industry.
  • Knowledge of control panels and motor protection systems.
