About the position

The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst role at Globus Medical is designed to support the Team Lead of Security Operations in the daily management and security of information systems on a global scale. This position is critical in ensuring that the organization's information assets are protected against potential threats and vulnerabilities. The analyst will be involved in implementing information security and vulnerability management strategies, which are essential for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data. In this role, the Associate Cybersecurity Analyst will review, investigate, and respond to real-time security events, ensuring that any potential threats are addressed promptly. The administration of designated information security and vulnerability management assessment tools will be a key responsibility, as will the facilitation and prioritization of security events to minimize risks. The analyst will actively participate in the remediation of vulnerabilities and conduct security assessments for both new and existing systems and processes. Additionally, the role involves generating reports, memos, and metrics as required by management, which will help in tracking the effectiveness of security measures and compliance with industry standards. The analyst will also be expected to maintain knowledge of industry trends and relevant security advisories, ensuring that the organization stays ahead of potential threats. Participation in IT projects as determined by management will further enhance the analyst's experience and contribution to the team. The position requires adherence to the company's Code of Conduct and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring that all actions align with the organization's ethical standards. The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst will represent Globus Medical professionally, upholding the highest standards of ethical business practices in all interactions with employees, customers, suppliers, and third parties.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of information security and vulnerability management strategies for IT.
  • Support the information security management program to ensure that information assets and associated information systems are adequately protected.
  • Review, investigate and respond to real-time security events and potential threats.
  • Administer the designated information security & vulnerability management assessment tool(s).
  • Facilitate and prioritize security events and vulnerabilities in order to minimize the threatscape.
  • Actively participate and provide recommendations for the remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct security and vulnerability assessments for new and existing systems and processes.
  • Generate reports, memos and metrics as required by management.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and organizationally relevant security advisories.
  • Lead or participate in IT projects as determined by IT management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry training / certifications.
  • 1 to 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with information security across various platforms.
  • Understanding of common information security management frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
