The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst role will support the Team Lead, Security Operations with the day-to-day operations of securing information systems globally. This position is crucial in ensuring that our information assets and associated information systems are adequately protected. The analyst will support the implementation of information security and vulnerability management strategies for IT, review and respond to real-time security events, and facilitate the prioritization of security events and vulnerabilities to minimize potential threats. In this role, the Associate Cybersecurity Analyst will conduct security and vulnerability assessments for new and existing systems and processes, generate reports and metrics as required by management, and maintain knowledge of industry trends and relevant security advisories. The analyst will also lead or participate in IT projects as determined by IT management, ensuring compliance with applicable governmental laws and regulations. This position requires adherence to the company Code of Conduct and a commitment to ethical business practices in all interactions with employees, customers, suppliers, and third parties.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of information security and vulnerability management strategies for IT.
  • Support the information security management program to ensure that information assets and associated information systems are adequately protected.
  • Review, investigate and respond to real-time security events and potential threats.
  • Administration of the designated information security & vulnerability management assessment tool(s).
  • Facilitation and prioritization of security events and vulnerabilities in order to minimize the threatscape.
  • Actively participate and provide recommendations for the remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct security and vulnerability assessments for new and existing systems and processes.
  • Generation of reports, memos and metrics as required by management.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and organizationally relevant security advisories.
  • Lead or participate in IT projects as determined by IT management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry training / certifications.
  • 1 to 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with information security across various platforms.
  • Understanding of common information security management frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
