About the position

The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC). This role involves troubleshooting access issues, evaluating firewall rules, responding to phishing attempts, and assisting end users with multi-factor authentication. The analyst will also engage in complex security issue resolution and contribute to small and medium technology projects.

Responsibilities

• User level access control and troubleshooting.
• User level MFA troubleshooting.
• Firewall policy evaluation.
• Troubleshooting complex network security issues.
• Alert triaging and data gathering for computer investigations.
• Phish response.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Fundamental awareness of customer service tasks.
• Fundamental awareness of MFA troubleshooting.
• Fundamental awareness of firewalling and security policy modification.
• Fundamental awareness of alert triage and phish response.
