About the position

The Associate Data Analyst at GEHA plays a crucial role in developing visualizations and reporting to provide analytical insights for business partners. This entry-level position focuses on partnering with various teams to enhance analytical capabilities and solve business challenges through effective reporting and analytics. The role emphasizes continuous learning and adherence to data governance standards, ensuring quality outcomes in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business to gather requirements for analytical reporting and analysis.
• Assist with reporting leveraging SQL, Excel, Python, and other data languages.
• Assist with data visualizations and dashboard building utilizing BI tools.
• Adhere to data standards and follow processes to drive business outcomes with elevated level of quality and accuracy.
• Manage incidents according to SLAs to resolve issues.
• Document development through Technical Design Documents and Reporting templates.
• Adhere to Data Governance standards and ensure that all data is managed in accordance with HIPAA, departmental and corporate guidelines.
• Engage in continuous learning through certification of analytical skills that drive towards completion of PL300 or equivalent.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Base knowledge of SQL and Relational databases.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with PowerBI or other applicable BI tools (Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy) is a plus.
