About the position

The Associate Data Transformation Analyst role at S&P Global involves working within the Data Capture team of North America Data Operations. The primary responsibility is to manage the process of receiving and processing inbound data files, ensuring that all necessary data is available for downstream processes. This entry-level position requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during data capture and to maintain accurate data storage for client deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the overall process and customer needs.
  • Monitor and maintain data files processing along with its onboarding.
  • Support existing portfolio to mitigate anomalies.
  • Follow guidelines and proactively raise alerts on functional/application/data risk.
  • Communicate with Internal/External clients timely to ensure data files are processed as expected.
  • Create New Audits and support existing to mitigate anomalies.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of work experience within the data information field.
  • Basic understanding of electronic file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP, and HTTPS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team.
  • Ability to write/run basic SQL statements.

  • Experience with data quality and ETL processes.
