About the position

The Associate Degree Apprenticeship Program at Zurich Insurance Company offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain a first-time higher education while working in a full-time paid position. This two-year program combines coursework at Harper Community College with practical experience in underwriting, specifically supporting the National Account Underwriting Services Team at Zurich's Schaumburg headquarters. Apprentices will learn essential skills in insurance while earning an Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support the National Account Underwriting Services Team by servicing accounts through the end-to-end process.
• Access and evaluate underwriting processes while implementing best practices.
• Follow instructions from underwriters in areas of policy rating and pricing.
• Review applications of mandatory policy forms in relation to accounts.
• Resolve inquiries from brokers, underwriters, and internal customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled and validated as college ready by Harper Community College Admissions.
• No professional work experience required.
