About the position

We are seeking a talented Associate Developer - UI with a strong background in the Airline Industry for an immediate contract opportunity based in Atlanta, GA. This position is expected to last for 12 months or more, with the potential for long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of front-end development technologies and practices, particularly in the context of the airline sector. The role involves collaborating closely with business and product owners to define technical solutions that address customer challenges, ensuring that the solutions are both feasible and scalable. In this role, you will be responsible for triaging and managing production issues, as well as implementing technical definitions for analytics, error logging, and other critical customer interactions on the Client.com UI. You will conduct design reviews to assess feasibility and impact, develop sustainable solutions that comply with accessibility standards, and address technical debt through resolutions and code reviews. Additionally, you will analyze and implement initiatives focused on performance, stability, and reliability, while also engaging in research and development of proof of concepts (POCs) and innovative ideas to enhance customer interactions. Your contributions will also include defining alternative solutions for business problems, ensuring that all developments adhere to best practices for information security, and maintaining a focus on test-driven development and quality assurance. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a leading airline company, contributing to projects that directly impact customer experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Determining feasibility & scalability of front-end solutions.
  • Interacting with business and product owners to define technical solutions for customer problems.
  • Production issue triage, management, and prevention as needed.
  • Technical definition and implementation for analytics, error logging/tracking, and other key functional customer interactions on Client.com.
  • Conducting design reviews for feasibility and impact analysis.
  • Developing sustainable Accessibility compliant solutions.
  • Resolving technical debt and conducting code reviews.
  • Analyzing and implementing Performance/Stability/Reliability initiatives.
  • Researching and developing POCs & innovative new ideas for customer interactions with Client.
  • Assisting in defining alternate solutions for business problems.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in front-end development.
  • Advanced level development skills in HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript versions ES2015/ES6 and TypeScript.
  • Experience with Node and NPM.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS v4+, Express JS, and jQuery.
  • Experience with UI testing, E2E testing, and frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, PhantomJS, Jest, and Cypress.
  • Knowledge of application bundlers like Webpack (optional) and task runners such as Grunt and Gulp.
  • Proficiency in CSS 3/Frameworks like Bootstrap v3/v4 and Foundation CSS.
  • Experience with SaaS deployment in the cloud.
  • Focus on Test Driven Development and quality-forward development practices with automation at the forefront.
  • Ability to create performant sites focused on optimal time to interact for end consumers.
  • Understanding of secure site practices adhering to information security best practices.
  • Ability to write, execute, and visualize test results.
  • Experience with code organization and bundling for coherent packaging.
  • Familiarity with UI grids and responsive web design, using Figma to interact with visual design.
