About the position

The Minnesota Star Tribune is seeking an Associate Digital Media Buyer to develop, execute, optimize, and analyze digital marketing campaigns for clients. This role focuses on setting up digital media campaigns across various platforms, ensuring they meet or exceed performance metrics based on client KPIs. The position is integral to the Digital Operations team, which leverages the Star Tribune's digital assets to provide clients with comprehensive marketing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of digital media campaigns across various buying platforms.
  • Monitor digital media campaigns within multiple DSPs daily.
  • Optimize toward established KPIs during the life of a campaign.
  • Pull data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations to strategists and digital leads.
  • Manage, prioritize, and respond to ad-hoc requests as assigned.
  • Research and stay abreast of current industry best practices and trends, develop and maintain digital best practices, and promote digital optimization techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or certification; or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience utilizing Real-Time Bidding technologies (DSPs, Ad Exchanges, SSPs).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex client campaigns and relationships against performance metrics.
  • Ad trafficking experience utilizing platforms such as Google Campaign Manager.
  • Experience with Google Ad Manager or other ad serving technology.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the industry, development processes and business priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • DoubleClick Campaign Manager/DoubleClick Bid Manager and Google Analytics certifications are preferred but not required.
