About the position

The Associate-Digital Product Management role at American Express involves managing product backlogs, collaborating with engineering and design teams, and translating business needs into actionable requirements. This position is integral to enhancing customer experience and driving business growth through effective data governance and digital solutions. Responsibilities

  • Define, manage and own the product Backlog
  • Manage product roadmap in collaboration with engineering and design functions
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into concrete requirements
  • Work with engineers on a day-to-day basis to execute requirements into end products
  • Perform relevant testing (SIT, UAT, PIV)
  • Partner with Business Support team (SABE) to troubleshoot critical issues at hand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across multiple lines of businesses to capture requirements

Requirements

  • Ability to translate complicated business requirements into multiple solution options
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, must be comfortable working on a diverse team spanning multiple locations
  • An ability to deal with a fast pace and changing needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of basic Agile principles and/or experience in Agile Product Development
  • Experience with SQL and Microsoft suite of products
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Figma, Adobe Analytics and Google Cloud is a plus
