About the position

The University of Cincinnati is seeking an Associate Director of Admissions Marketing and Communications to lead strategic marketing initiatives aimed at engaging prospective students and their families. This role involves overseeing a team responsible for creating and managing content across various platforms, ensuring alignment with the university's brand and enrollment goals. The Associate Director will play a crucial role in shaping the university's messaging and outreach efforts, driving innovative marketing campaigns, and analyzing their effectiveness to optimize strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for the Office of Admissions.
  • Drive innovative marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with academic colleges and external agencies to ensure consistent marketing efforts.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of professional staff and student workers.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the marketing and communications team.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to staff.
  • Lead the creation and management of content for the admissions website.
  • Oversee the production of print and digital marketing materials.
  • Implement and manage digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media campaigns.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Office of Admissions and other university departments.
  • Represent the Office of Admissions at university, state, and national levels.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external marketing agencies and vendors.
  • Manage the marketing budget to maximize ROI on marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of long-range plans and strategies for the Office of Admissions.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Five (5) years of experience in admissions.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in higher education or a related sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing marketing campaigns and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and strategies, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and analyze data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools, preferably Slate.
