About the position

KPMG is seeking an Associate Director to join our Automation Center of Excellence (COE) organization. This role is pivotal in driving the development and maintenance of applications that meet the end-user requirements through collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The Associate Director will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing, developing, and maintaining applications, as well as creating detailed test plans, debugging plans, and rollout plans. The position requires a strong focus on utilizing Microsoft Power Platform tools, including PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Flow, Power BI, and Dataverse, to fulfill business needs effectively. In this role, the Associate Director will also create and maintain reports, dashboards, and other necessary items to display data and information for the business. A significant aspect of the job involves developing and managing SharePoint Sites and lists to ensure seamless integration with Power Platform. The Associate Director will partner with and mentor Automation COE teams, guiding them in technical tasks related to the development and management of automations. Continuous improvement of the RPA COE's methodologies and tools is essential, as is the ability to review code work for accuracy and functionality, making suggestions for technical modifications to prevent future issues. The Associate Director will support the migration of RPA Automations to Power Platform applications and will be expected to stay updated on best practices as Microsoft evolves its Power Platform products. This position requires a minimum of five years of recent, hands-on experience with RPA platforms, particularly Automation Anywhere, and at least three years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies. A Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is required, along with a solid understanding of secure design and development practices on Microsoft technologies. Excellent customer service skills and strong communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements; design, develop, and maintain applications to meet the end-user requirements; create detailed test plans, debugging plans, launch, and rollout plans
  • Develop PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Flow, Power BI, Power Fabric, Dataverse and other Power Platform tools as necessary to meet business requirements
  • Create and maintain reports and other required items like screens, dashboards and more to display data and other information for the business; develop and work with SharePoint Sites and lists to seamlessly integrate Power Platform and SharePoint
  • Partner with and mentor Automation COE teams performing technical tasks related to development and management of automations
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the RPA CoE's methodologies and tools; guide other developers in best practices for secure Power Platform development; review code work for accuracy and functionality; make suggestions for technical modifications to prevent future problems; manage and support existing solutions with KPMG environments; utilize approved software and tools to follow Secure Software Development Lifecycle methodologies to meet KPMG's policies and requirements
  • Support the migration of RPA Automations to Power Platform applications; continue to learn and implement best practices as Microsoft evolves the Power Platform products

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of recent, hands-on experience with RPA platforms - Automation Anywhere
  • Minimum three years of recent, hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Dataverse
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or higher in information technology, computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding and hands-on experience in secure design, development, and implementation on Microsoft technologies including Microsoft DevOps, GitHub, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD
  • Solid understanding and experience with different development methodologies; familiarity with cyber security frameworks and secure code development
  • Experience with complex and distributed organizational structure is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills; be self-motivated and accountable
