About the position

The Associate Director, BBA Career Coach will provide career coaching and development support to students and alumni of the Cox School of Business. This role focuses on enhancing career readiness through personalized coaching, advising, and training for effective job search activities. The position involves administering career assessments, teaching decision-making methods, and planning targeted career development events while collaborating with industry partners to foster relationships that benefit students' career prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage coaching for BBA and MS students in career planning and job search activities.
  • Administer and interpret career assessments for students and alumni.
  • Document coaching sessions in the department's coaching system.
  • Perform outreach functions with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employer recruiters.
  • Participate in industry-specific events for professional development and visibility.
  • Plan and manage career-related presentations and group coaching sessions.
  • Design and execute career development seminars and workshops.
  • Plan and execute industry-specific events to connect employers with students.
  • Prepare required reports and assessments in a timely manner.
  • Represent the CMC in admissions activities and develop marketing content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in a business-related or career-coaching function.
  • Experience with interviewing or hiring candidates, coaching, or recruiting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with diverse constituencies.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of business terminology.
  • Organizational, planning, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and devise solutions.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and internet communication systems.
