About the position

The Associate Director, BI&T Strategy and Operations, Supplier Financial Management at Bristol-Myers Squibb is responsible for overseeing the financial management functions within the Business Insights & Technology (BI&T) Supplier Management team. This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial oversight for key BI&T delivery providers, maintaining controls, facilitating approval reviews, and promoting transparency in cost management processes. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to drive consistent service management across the supplier ecosystem, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of transforming patients' lives through science.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all financial aspects for BI&T enterprise vendor with global business.
  • Ensure accuracy, collection, issue management, and reporting of major provider consumption spend.
  • Maintain and provide the budget, projections, and monthly accrual processes related to key vendors' activities.
  • Advise executives and stakeholders on the financial impact of decisions, comparing them with budget and quarterly projections.
  • Oversee management of purchase orders globally related to strategic BI&T suppliers' contracts and budget.
  • Monitor project financials and operational insights related to key vendors to advise decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance and Service delivery organization to foster transparency into costs, consumption, and demand.
  • Support stakeholders regarding provider cost management processes and enterprise level reporting requirements.
  • Develop into a subject matter expert interfacing with suppliers and BMS stakeholders.
  • Provide financial guidance and analysis for new BI&T partners and manage the financial aspects of their integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years' experience in BI&T and/or Finance, preferably in a bio/pharmaceutical company.
  • Extensive experience in financial processes and internal controls relevant to BI&T and the bio/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated competency in analyzing and defining business processes using structured problem solving.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex environments.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, data merging, and data models.
  • Experience with commercial tools and familiarity with ServiceNow and SAP.
