About the position

The Associate Director of the BigFuture Ambassador Community will play a pivotal role in leading and expanding the BigFuture Ambassador program, which serves as a vital connection between students and the resources available through BigFuture. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about education and community engagement, with a focus on empowering students to take charge of their post-high school journey. The Associate Director will oversee the recruitment, training, and support of Ambassadors, ensuring they are equipped to effectively promote BigFuture's offerings to their peers. This includes developing training materials, organizing workshops, and facilitating ongoing communication to foster a strong community among Ambassadors. In addition to managing the Ambassador program, the Associate Director will collaborate with various stakeholders, including schools, community organizations, and educational institutions, to enhance the reach and impact of BigFuture initiatives. This role requires a strategic mindset to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the program, as well as the ability to analyze data to measure success and inform future strategies. The Associate Director will also represent BigFuture at events and conferences, advocating for the program and its benefits to a wider audience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, community outreach, or program management, with a proven track record of engaging and motivating students. They will be adept at building relationships and fostering collaboration among diverse groups, ensuring that the voices of students are heard and prioritized in program development. This position is remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while requiring a commitment to the mission of BigFuture and its impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the BigFuture Ambassador program, overseeing recruitment, training, and support for Ambassadors.
  • Develop and implement training materials and workshops for Ambassadors to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Foster a strong community among Ambassadors through ongoing communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and educational institutions to expand the program's reach.
  • Analyze data to measure the success of the Ambassador program and inform future strategies.
  • Represent BigFuture at events and conferences, advocating for the program and its benefits.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the Ambassador program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, community engagement, or education.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students in the post-high school transition.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in data analysis and using metrics to drive program improvements.
