About the position

The Associate Director in Biomarker Operations at Moderna will lead and strategize biomarker operations deliverables in collaboration with clinical teams and partner CROs. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and compliance in biomarker biosample management plans across all clinical trials conducted by Moderna.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of biomarker operation team members to support clinical study biomarker deliverables.
  • Manage day-to-day operations for the biomarker operations team, setting priorities and ensuring compliance and training.
  • Lead the standardization of biomarker sections of clinical protocols, clinical kit development, lab manuals, and consent forms.
  • Strategize and develop creative solutions for process improvements in the clinical sample lifecycle.
  • Manage and resolve CRO sample and logistics issues, creating processes to alleviate these issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science-based subject; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of clinical sample management experience, including sponsor experience.
  • Previous people management experience required.
  • Solid understanding of GCP/ICH is required.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and multitask.
