About the position

The Associate Director, Business Operations and Excellence Lead at Takeda Oncology plays a crucial role in supporting the US Oncology Business Unit's strategy and operational excellence. This position involves enhancing capabilities that drive performance, managing cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The role requires collaboration with leadership and various departments to optimize processes and support decision-making, ultimately contributing to the success of the oncology business.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary advisor for the manager by activating workstreams and operationalizing strategies.
  • Prepare and coordinate leadership meetings, ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
  • Provide support in decision-making processes by gathering and analyzing relevant data.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business objectives and operational efficiencies.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas to streamline processes.
  • Manage the US Oncology BU planning calendar in partnership with colleagues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on problem-solving initiatives.
  • Provide project management support, tracking key initiatives and deliverables.
  • Assist in cross-functional projects, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Manage and improve systems, platforms, and workflows for US OBU.
  • Support roles in managing meetings, events, and employee engagements.
  • Lead the Employee Engagement Team to shape US Oncology culture.
  • Assist with leading the US OBU Leadership Advisory Group.
  • Facilitate communication between leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage budgets and integrated project plans.
  • Assist in financial analysis and reporting for budget adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry, with at least 3-5 years in strategic planning or business operations.
  • Ability to prioritize high-volume workload based on challenges and business needs.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in overseeing complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional ability to work closely with senior leadership and provide data-driven advice.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and knowledge of digital transformation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in digital tools and technologies, with knowledge of leveraging AI in operations being a significant plus.
