About the position

Georgetown University is seeking an Associate Director for Campaign Operations and Planning within the Office of Advancement. This role is pivotal as the university embarks on its most ambitious fundraising campaign to date, known as "Called to Be," which aims to raise $3 billion. The Office of Advancement is dedicated to supporting Georgetown's mission and strategic goals through an engagement-driven approach to fundraising. The Campaign Operations & Planning team serves as the primary project manager for campaign-related initiatives, ensuring effective planning and execution of campaign activities. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with various partners across the Office of Advancement and the university to maintain the day-to-day operations of the campaign, focusing on internal coordination and collaboration. In this role, the Associate Director will assist the Senior Director in managing University Strategic Initiative working groups, internal campaign education programming, and facilitating campaign close activities. This includes maintaining a progress report and supporting future planning efforts. The position requires a data-driven mindset, particularly in utilizing the university's Salesforce CRM, GU360, to enhance operational efficiency. The Associate Director will also be responsible for managing cross-team stakeholder meetings, setting agendas, collecting materials, facilitating discussions, and tracking next steps. Regular interactions will occur with various teams within the Office of Advancement, as well as with university leadership and faculty, making strong communication and project management skills essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the planning and execution of campaign-related work within the Office of Advancement.
  • Assist the Senior Director in managing University Strategic Initiative working groups.
  • Facilitate internal campaign education programming and campaign close activities.
  • Maintain a running progress report on campaign priorities and support future planning work.
  • Monitor and track progress of campaign priorities to ensure timely execution.
  • Manage cross-team stakeholder meetings, including setting agendas and tracking next steps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in higher education or non-profit settings.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to differentiate and prioritize work.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of constituents, including volunteers and donors.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for campaign engagement events.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in CRMs/Salesforce preferred.
