The Associate Director of Career Coaching at the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business plays a pivotal role in guiding undergraduate students through their career development journey. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about empowering students to navigate their career paths, particularly in the fields of Consulting and Operations. The Associate Director will engage students in a strategic career development process, assessing their needs and providing tailored coaching that aligns with their degree programs and marketplace demands. This role requires a deep understanding of various industries and the ability to connect students with relevant resources and opportunities. In this hybrid position, the Associate Director will be expected to work on-site in Ann Arbor, MI, three days a week, while also being open to local and domestic travel for corporate visits and presentations. The role may occasionally require flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, nights, or weekends. The Associate Director will report directly to the Director of Career Coaching and will oversee a cohort of 15-30 student Peer Coaches, ensuring that they are well-trained and equipped to support their peers effectively. The responsibilities of this role include providing individual and group career coaching, translating self-assessment results, reviewing resumes, and assisting with job search strategies. The Associate Director will also be responsible for creating and delivering career programs and workshops that reflect industry trends and align with the strategic objectives of the Career Development Office (CDO). Additionally, the role involves developing career education materials in various formats and collaborating with the Employer Relations team to understand employer recruitment strategies. The Associate Director will play a crucial role in fostering a diverse and collaborative team culture within the CDO and the Ross School of Business.
