About The Position

The Associate Director, Clinical Logistics will oversee the clinical logistics program for cell therapy clinical trials, focusing on the scheduling, coordination, and tracking of patient materials throughout the autologous cell therapy process. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient logistics and supply chain processes to support clinical trials, particularly as the company expands internationally.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with a BS/BA or 6+ years with an MS/MA or MBA in Clinical Logistics or Clinical Supply Chain in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Experience in cell therapy concepts such as chain of identity/custody, cold chain logistics, and clinical trial execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced data management and analytical software skills, including Excel (complex functions) and Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient scheduling tools, guidelines, work instructions, and dashboards for apheresis collection and cell therapy product delivery.
  • Identify communication plans and templates for regular updates with clinical operations and sites on patient status.
  • Create handling manuals and training materials for clinical sites regarding patient material shipping and product receipt.
  • Develop a training program for clinical sites, including a 'train the trainer' model.
  • Support the design and implementation of user requirements for the cell orchestration system.
  • Establish logistics and supply chain processes for international clinical trial expansion.
  • Set up couriers, customs brokers, and shipping solutions, managing ongoing performance.
  • Develop processes for scheduling and slot management across clinical trials.
  • Participate in meetings to support the launch of clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure a thorough cell orchestration program.
  • Recommend process improvements and promote a culture of collaboration and execution excellence.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems and plan schedules to achieve goals.
