About The Position

The Associate Director, Corporate Strategy & Business Operations at AbbVie plays a crucial role in driving major enterprise strategic initiatives. This position involves monitoring and assessing the external environment, assisting in the development of AbbVie's long-range strategic plan, and leading various strategic analyses and initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a strategic consulting function, preferably with healthcare experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and leverage interdependencies to examine and enable business outcomes.
  • Basic financial literacy with strong quantitative and modeling skills.
  • Ability to distill complex information into intuitive graphs, tables, and other visuals.
  • Strong oral, facilitation, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promote strategic discussions on external trends, competitor strategies, and potential disruptors, translating these into strategic choices.
  • Shape corporate priorities and drive clarity and alignment on therapeutic areas, modalities, and platform capabilities.
  • Provide internal consulting support for high-priority strategic initiatives that will drive transformative change and position AbbVie for future success.
  • Support AbbVie's long-range strategic planning process by collaborating with leaders to shape their strategic agendas.
  • Partner with and advise senior management on relevant topics to their functional areas.
  • Help communicate AbbVie's strategy across the organization.
