The Creative & Emerging Media department within Nebraska Athletics is responsible for all aspects of social media strategy, social media management, digital content creation, and print design. This department is composed of a dedicated full-time staff and a student workforce, all working together to amplify recruiting and administrative efforts aimed at elevating the Husker brand while providing essential communication to recruits and fans. The Associate Director - Creative & Emerging Media position plays a crucial role in providing creative direction across various digital media platforms, including social media graphics, recruiting graphics, video production and editing, posters, schedule cards, media guide covers, promotional collateral, and more. In this role, creative insight, strategy, and execution are paramount. The Associate Director will be expected to provide creative oversight for student staff, guiding them in their projects and ensuring high-quality output. This position also involves managing select social media channels within Husker Athletics, which requires a collaborative approach. Critical thinking, high-level communication, and teamwork are essential skills for success in this fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong graphic designer with experience working in a creative team, particularly within the dynamic context of college athletics.
