The Associate Director, Creative Service Operations - Global Retail will serve as a Creative Project Manager within the Global Creative Team, specializing in Visual Merchandising and Events. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong creative background and exceptional project management skills to lead and execute global retail initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail environments, visual merchandising, and event coordination, ensuring brand consistency across all global touchpoints. Overall Responsibilities include leading the planning, execution, and delivery of global visual merchandising and event projects from concept to release of final artwork including product launches, pop-ups, and in-store experiences. The Associate Director will drive project timelines while effectively communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, conduct project kick-off meetings for large-scale programs and new initiatives, and serve as the primary point of contact for global retail projects, providing regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Additionally, they will oversee the development and implementation of visual merchandising strategies for global retail environments, manage the development of visual merchandising toolkits and global guidelines for release to regional teams, and coordinate with vendors, designers, and external partners to ensure successful event execution. The role also involves ensuring Creative Work-In-Progress decks are complete, partnering with Marketing PMs to facilitate reviews and approvals, ensuring timely delivery of visibility reports summarizing project status and key milestones, addressing gaps and obstacles in the existing creative process, and proposing solutions to enhance team effectiveness. The Associate Director will demonstrate the ability to consistently elevate the infrastructure and operations of the creative department to increase output while supporting the creative process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of visibility reports summarizing project status and key milestones.
  • Address gaps and obstacles in the existing creative process, proposing solutions and installing methodologies to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate the ability to consistently elevate the infrastructure and operations of the creative department to increase output while supporting the creative process.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in retail, visual merchandising, or event management, with a strong focus on global markets.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing complex creative projects in a retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading creative teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Asana, Wrike, Smartsheets).
