We're looking for a leader who will help set the vision for their teams and their projects. You'll be as comfortable sweating the details of a design interaction as you are presenting your teams' work. You'll be a mentor and a manager, developing talent to be their best. And you're passionate about growing your own talent, as well.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for the design team and projects.
  • Mentor and manage team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create exceptional digital experiences.
  • Oversee the design process from concept to execution, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Lead project teams of designers and content strategists to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Engage in user research and discovery-based activities to inform design decisions.
  • Create and maintain design systems that enhance user experience across platforms.
  • Develop site maps, wireframes, user flows, and journey maps to visualize user experiences.

Requirements

  • A portfolio showcasing beautiful, usable experiences designed for various devices and contexts.
  • Strong UX fundamentals paired with refined UI and visual design skills.
  • Proficiency in visual design principles including color, typography, illustration, and motion.
  • Experience with prototyping tools and techniques.
  • Ability to create and evolve design systems effectively.
  • Experience in user research and agile processes.
  • Demonstrated holistic thinking about user experiences to meet user and business needs.
  • Competency in creating site maps, wireframes, user flows, and journey maps.
  • High proficiency in design tools such as Figma, InVision, Sketch, and Adobe CC.
  • Exceptional written and presentation skills to communicate design rationale and passion.
  • Experience managing and mentoring direct reports and junior talent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and eCommerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards in design.
