About the position

Digitas is seeking an Associate Director of Creative UX & UI Design to lead our Experience Design team in crafting digital experiences that resonate with users. As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for setting the vision for your teams and projects, ensuring that the design interactions are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and user-friendly. You will work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, starting from a blank page to realize the vision for exceptional experiences across various platforms, including websites, mobile applications, eCommerce, and marketing campaigns. Your role will involve a balance of hands-on design work and leadership responsibilities, where you will mentor and develop talent within your team, fostering an environment of growth and creativity. The Experience Design team at Digitas thrives on innovation and collaboration, and you will play a crucial role in maintaining this culture. You will be expected to sweat the details of design interactions while also being comfortable presenting your team's work to stakeholders. Your portfolio should showcase a range of beautiful and usable experiences designed for various devices and contexts, highlighting your ability to create impactful experiences for products, platforms, campaigns, and content. You will leverage your hybrid design experience, combining strong UX fundamentals with refined UI and visual design skills, to ensure that user and business needs are met holistically. In this position, you will also be responsible for overseeing the development and evolution of design systems, conducting user research, and implementing agile processes. Your exceptional skills in creating site maps, wireframes, user flows, and journey maps will be essential in guiding your team through the design process. You will need to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in design tools such as Figma, InVision, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as possess strong written and presentation skills to effectively communicate your design rationale and passion for the work. With 6-8 years of experience in the field, including managing and mentoring junior talent, you will be well-equipped to lead project teams of designers and content strategists to deliver high-quality work on time.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in UX and UI design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing beautiful and usable experiences across devices.
• Hybrid design experience with strong UX fundamentals and refined UI skills.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, InVision, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Exceptional ability to create and maintain design systems.
• Experience in user research and discovery-based activities.
• Ability to think holistically about user and business needs.
• Competency in creating wireframes, user flows, and journey maps.
• Strong written and presentation skills to communicate design rationale.
• Experience managing and mentoring direct reports and junior talent.
