About the position

The Associate Director, Data Platform Solutions at Zenith is a pivotal role within the Data and Platform Solutions group, which serves as the agency's digital data and ad technology experts. This specialized team is dedicated to leveraging audience data to inform media decisions, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of client communications. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including those responsible for Demand-Side Platform (DSP) and Programmatic Strategy, Multi-Touch Attribution, and Dynamic Creative Optimization. This position is crucial for activating audience data and managing the technology platforms that facilitate better marketing decisions. In this role, the Associate Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Data Management Platform (DMP), ensuring that audience data is effectively utilized to influence media strategies for client accounts. This includes defining target audiences, sharing data with partners, and compiling performance reports to track the effectiveness of audience groups. The Associate Director will also work in tandem with the media planning team to integrate the DMP as a central tool for smarter planning, thereby enhancing the agency's overall data strategy. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who can manage processes around targeting data and generate insightful reports. They will act as an internal resource, demonstrating the agency's expertise in data strategies and supporting the writing of various media deliverables, including timelines, Points of View (POVs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and presentations. Staying abreast of current DMP and programmatic media trends is essential for success in this role, as it will inform the strategies employed to meet client needs and drive marketing success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day DMP operations
  • Execute on audience data to impact media strategies for client account(s)
  • Manage the process of defining audiences to be targeted
  • Share data with partners and track performance reports regarding audience groups
  • Integrate with the media planning team to make the DMP a central tool for smarter planning
  • Act as an internal resource to demonstrate agency knowledge of data strategies
  • Support and/or manage writing of media deliverables (timelines, POVs, RFPs, presentations, etc.)
  • Maintain knowledge of current DMP/Programmatic media trends

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or Data Science
  • 6+ years of experience preferred in digital media, ad technology, ad operations, or analytics
  • Self-starter who is quick to learn and eager to contribute
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects
  • Familiarity with basic accounting/math principles; basic statistical analysis experience is a plus
