As a member of the US Data Privacy, Digital & AI team, the Associate Director, Data Privacy, Digital & AI provides critical advice and guidance on data privacy and AI topics to various stakeholders within Novartis. This role is pivotal in assisting with the development of training, policies, and guidelines related to data privacy and AI compliance. The Associate Director will also play a key role in tracking and operationalizing compliance with relevant laws, ensuring that the organization effectively manages risks associated with data privacy and AI to support innovation while preserving the integrity and reputation of Novartis. The Associate Director will be responsible for providing expert advice on a range of DPDAI topics, including but not limited to sales and marketing, advertising technology, omnichannel engagement, data analytics, clinical research, and compliance with HIPAA and US federal and state privacy laws. This position requires collaboration with the US DPDAI team to create, implement, and manage guidance, policies, procedures, and training that align with both global and US-specific regulatory requirements. The role also involves assisting in the implementation of Novartis-wide DPDAI policies and standards, ensuring compliance with US privacy and AI laws. In addition, the Associate Director will manage the implementation of DPDAI risk management and controls, conduct privacy risk assessments, and proactively monitor the evolving landscape of US privacy and AI regulations. This includes identifying and sharing insights on compliance programs from other companies within the industry. The role requires the ability to develop trusted relationships across all levels of the organization, promoting a culture of compliance and ethical decision-making as part of Novartis's mission to reimagine medicine for patients.
