About the position

The Associate Director, Digital Governance and Solutions at IEEE is responsible for managing and enhancing the organization's digital presence across various platforms. This role focuses on user experience, accessibility, compliance, and governance best practices, ensuring that IEEE's flagship website, IEEE.org, and its extensive digital ecosystem provide a positive user experience. The incumbent will lead a team of technical solutionists, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives to improve digital operations and governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance IEEE's cross-platform digital presence.
• Oversee technical management and maintenance of IEEE.org.
• Lead a team of technical solutionists and manage up to 4 direct reports.
• Collaborate with staff to identify and implement digital solutions.
• Drive compliance and governance through the IEEE Digital Style Guide.
• Oversee domain management and governance efforts.
• Facilitate resource sharing and reuse throughout IEEE.
• Evaluate tools/applications and recommend those that fit within IEEE's ecosystem.
• Support the Director, Experience Design in budgeting and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, web design, software engineering, project management, or related field.
• 7-10 years of work experience in web/internet development or related field.
• Project or product management certification is required.
• High proficiency in managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong understanding of user experience principles and accessibility standards.
• Experience with enterprise web content management solutions such as Adobe Experience Manager and WordPress.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's or advanced degree in a related field.
• Desire for additional certification or training.
• Supervisory and/or team project management experience.
• Familiarity with customizing WordPress themes and using plugins.
