About the position

The Associate Director, Digital Marketing & Artist Development is responsible for managing and evolving strategic marketing campaigns for a roster of artists. This role involves project management, budget oversight, and collaboration with various teams to ensure effective marketing plans are executed. The individual will drive digital marketing initiatives, engage social media communities, and implement innovative strategies to maximize music streaming and consumption.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a project manager for an assigned artist roster, developing strategic timelines and marketing plans in collaboration with peers.
  • Conduct planning meetings, outlining specific agendas and identifying next steps.
  • Create, develop, and execute innovative digital marketing campaigns for assigned artists.
  • Grow and engage social network communities and analyze social media data and marketing results.
  • Communicate goals and marketing efforts with internal and external teams.
  • Liaise with the in-house Creative Services team to ensure visual tools support brand goals.
  • Create marketing budgets and provide budget oversight for artist releases.
  • Implement new technologies and marketing tactics to maximize music streaming.
  • Oversee the development of websites, content, and posting strategies for digital platforms.
  • Drive CRM strategy for assigned artists, optimizing digital marketing initiatives.
  • Conceptualize contests and sweeps with the support of the Coordinator, Digital Marketing & Artist Development.
  • Develop and execute measurable digital advertising campaigns.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in marketing with a focus on creative campaigns in the music or entertainment industry.
  • Experience in a collaborative environment, leading and influencing teams under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic with effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media platforms and building online communities.
  • Familiarity with CRM/e-mail newsletter platforms like Salesforce and MailChimp.
  • Understanding of e-commerce, D2C, and music streaming business.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Professional presence and ability to maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with country music and willingness to work extended hours and travel.
