About the position

AstraZeneca is seeking an Associate Marketing Director for our Inhaled Respiratory division within the Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our respiratory therapeutic area and lead the strategic implementation of brand strategy through Digital Channels. The Associate Marketing Director will play a key role within the Brand Marketing Team, operating across Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Consumer channels, and will report directly to the Senior Director of Marketing. This individual will be responsible for leading the HCP and Consumer media strategy, as well as the design and execution of all branded and unbranded tactics across media and social channels. In this position, the Associate Marketing Director will also lead the measurement and ongoing optimization of campaigns across relevant channels. Collaboration is essential, as this individual will partner closely with internal omnichannel teams and external partners to ensure that the overall plan is optimized to deliver for the brand. The role requires a strong understanding of digital platforms, consumer marketing, and the ability to navigate a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in marketing and promotions, particularly with digital platforms, and will possess strong presentation and negotiation skills. The ability to lead through ambiguity and manage complex projects is crucial, as is the capacity to gauge the feasibility, impact, and risks of proposed programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the HCP and Consumer media strategy for the Inhaled Respiratory division.
  • Design and execute all branded and unbranded tactics across media and social channels.
  • Measure and optimize campaigns across relevant channels.
  • Collaborate with internal omnichannel teams and external partners to optimize the overall marketing plan.
  • Manage complex projects and lead initiatives without direct authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or in the Sciences.
  • 5+ years of Marketing and Promotions experience, particularly with digital platforms.
  • Experience in Consumer Marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience working within cross-functional business units.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and manage complex projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Field Sales, Sales Leadership, or Scientific Communications experience.
  • Experience in HCP and Consumer media.
  • Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal, Omnichannel, Digital).
  • Development of digital customer experiences and/or e-commerce.
  • Advanced Degree in Business, Marketing, or Science.
  • Experience in HCP Marketing and/or pharmaceutical sales.
  • Experience in Insight/Market Research.
  • Experience related to the Respiratory therapeutic area.
