About the position

Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is seeking an Associate Director of Digital Marketing and Strategy (Latin) to join their team in New York, NY. This full-time, on-site position reports directly to both the President of Distribution and the VP of Digital Strategy. The Associate Director will play a crucial role in the Roc Nation digital team, focusing on servicing Distribution clients within the Latin division. The successful candidate will support the continued development and growth of a diverse roster of Roc Nation artists, particularly those in the Latin music genre. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a mandatory requirement for this role, as effective communication with artists and partners is essential. The Associate Director will be responsible for executing promotional campaigns, designing and implementing creative marketing plans, securing digital retail merchandising and playlisting, and facilitating requests between partners, managers, and artists. Additionally, this role involves maintaining artist web and social platforms, shaping digital strategy, and executing plans on a daily basis, particularly in the realm of social media publishing. The position requires a proactive approach to marketing, with a focus on driving revenue and enhancing artist visibility in the competitive digital landscape. Key responsibilities include developing and executing digital marketing and sales strategies, managing relationships with key digital partner accounts, producing and posting digital content, supporting new artist site builds, and analyzing campaign performance to identify areas for growth. The Associate Director will also be tasked with developing content release campaigns and tour promotions, ensuring that Roc Nation artists receive the marketing support they need to succeed in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital marketing/sales and content distribution strategies for clients.
  • Prepare pitches to key digital retail, mobile, and online promotional partners to secure retail campaigns and marketing opportunities for releases.
  • Support and manage relationships with key digital partner accounts.
  • Liaise with label distribution partners to execute digital sales plans and marketing initiatives.
  • Produce and post digital content, including text, images, and videos.
  • Liaise with artists and their teams to develop artist-generated content.
  • Support and manage new artist site builds and launches.
  • Maintain and update artist sites, social media profiles, and Roc Nation properties.
  • Grow artist awareness, site traffic, and content syndication through various marketing strategies.
  • Compile and distribute regular reports to the internal team and evaluate campaign efficacy.
  • Develop and execute content release campaigns, tour promotions, and other marketing efforts as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience managing the use of and/or relationships with digital distribution and social platforms.
  • Full working bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about the Latin music industry in the USA.
  • An understanding of marketing for music artists, especially digital and social media marketing.
  • An in-depth understanding of social media platforms, industry trends, new technologies, and digital music services.
  • Excellent copywriting skills; ability to write under pressure for multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • The highest attention to detail.
  • Track record building and maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills.
  • The drive to take initiative, work independently, and be accountable while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Experience running reports and exporting data from Google Analytics, email service providers, CRM, and other audio/video/social platforms.
  • Experience working with social management and listening platforms.
  • Experience working with content management systems, especially Wordpress.
  • Knowledge using basic audio, photo, and video editing programs.
