The Associate Director, Editorial Content, plays a crucial role in supporting the Division's mission to raise over $400 million annually through effective communication strategies. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of major donor publications, ensuring that the content is compelling, consistent, and aligned with the Division's financial goals. The role involves managing the production of various publications, including the Impact magazine, which is published quarterly, and the annual Your Impact in Action digital 1-pager. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with fundraising units to ensure accurate representation of donor contributions and will be the primary editor for the donor magazine, overseeing a team of writers and ensuring high-quality storytelling that resonates with the audience. In addition to managing print publications, the Associate Director will also oversee the digital presence of the Division's communications, including the Impact website. This includes maintaining the editorial calendar, formatting content for digital platforms, and coordinating with design and production teams to ensure timely publication. The role requires a strong understanding of both print and digital media, as well as the ability to translate complex scientific information into accessible content for a lay audience. The onboarding process for this position includes comprehensive training, shadowing colleagues, and hands-on learning experiences throughout the first year.
