About the position

The Associate Director of Enterprise Development at Arizona State University (ASU) plays a crucial role in advancing the university's mission by providing operational, analytical, and business development support. This position focuses on executing key objectives related to corporate partnerships and nurturing strategic relationships within the corporate sector. The successful candidate will contribute to ASU's enterprise development efforts through research, coordination of initiatives, and relationship management for high-level business opportunities, ensuring alignment with the university's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the Office of Enterprise Development by executing plans that align with ASU's charter and strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of enterprise development strategies by gathering data, conducting analysis, and preparing reports for senior leadership.
  • Support specific initiatives and projects within the Office of Enterprise Development by assisting in administration, tracking progress, and providing operational oversight.
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff to create short- and long-range plans, ensuring operational objectives and staffing requirements are met.
  • Support the cultivation and development of corporate partnerships by conducting research, preparing materials, and coordinating meetings for senior leadership.
  • Provide analysis on industry trends and prepare summaries of best practices for corporate engagement efforts.
  • Prepare briefing materials and reports for senior leaders to inform strategic discussions and recommendations.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining strategic relationships within the corporate sector by coordinating communication and tracking partnership progress.
  • Support the identification of new collaboration opportunities by analyzing trends and conducting research on corporate partners.
  • Provide operational support to team leaders by coordinating team activities and tracking project timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment.
  • Seven years of related administrative experience, including four years of supervisory experience, or eleven years of related administrative experience with four years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in corporate partnership development.
  • Strong operational and analytical skills with experience in coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and support strategic partnerships within a large organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with CRM tools and project management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Trello).
  • Ability to work regularly in Google Docs for collaborative work.
  • Knowledge of higher education institutions and the unique challenges of aligning academic and corporate interests.
