About the position

The Associate Director of Animal Health will provide Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) services to the US Commercial Integrated Business, focusing on Aqua, Poultry, and Swine sectors. This role is pivotal in supporting the financial operations of the US Livestock business, which is evolving to integrate innovative animal health products with technology solutions. The position involves leading foundational FP&A activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating with various departments to enhance business support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead foundational FP&A activities including annual budget development and periodic forecast development.
  • Ensure high-quality, on-time, and accurate deliverables for monthly closes, quarterly forecasts, and budget plans.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures.
  • Understand customer needs to enhance business support continuously.
  • Enforce financial controls and support the monthly close process with actuals analysis.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Demand Planning for commercial forecast alignment.
  • Manage the modeling of commercial forecasts and budgets based on business inputs.
  • Oversee month-end and quarter-end accruals and reporting activities.
  • Perform analysis of product sales, gross margin, and product mix.
  • Prepare monthly internal financial reports with variance analyses and commentary for executive leaders.
  • Collaborate with finance Business Services Center to ensure proper financial reporting and forecasting tool usage.
  • Manage the submission of Aqua division's financial statements into budgeting and consolidation tools.
  • Lead special projects and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or reporting role.
  • Ability to interact in cross-functional teams and with senior management.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated focus on process improvements and efficiency.
  • Proficient in financial reporting software tools, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize workload effectively.
