About the position

The Associate Director for Gender and Sexuality Resources, Women's Resources at Bucknell University plays a crucial role in promoting diversity and inclusion within the campus community. This position involves leading programming, education, and advocacy efforts focused on issues affecting women and LGBTQ individuals, while managing the Women's Resource Center. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to create an inclusive environment that supports marginalized communities and enhances the educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and support campus-wide programming addressing issues affecting women and marginalized communities.
  • Plan and implement a calendar of cultural and educational events to support community development.
  • Serve as a liaison to student organizations and provide professional advising for programming.
  • Support individual students seeking resources related to Women's Resources.
  • Counsel and advise students on bias incidents and provide support.
  • Manage and curate resources for the Women's Resource Center in collaboration with campus partners.
  • Engage in outreach and relationship building with campus partners and community members.
  • Manage the Women's Resources budget and ensure compliance with university policies.
  • Regularly assess programs and projects of Women's Resources and attend relevant meetings.
  • Supervise and support student workers and professional staff.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in college student personnel, higher education administration, education, or related field.
  • Three to five years of professional related experience.
  • Experience working with college students.
  • Strong commitment to student growth and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Sensitivity to issues related to class, gender identity, sexuality, race, and intersectionality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in program development and assessment.
  • Knowledge of Title IX and interpersonal violence policies.
  • Familiarity with community outreach and engagement strategies.
