About the position

The Associate Director, HCP Marketing will play a pivotal role within the Brand team at Insmed, focusing on the marketing strategies for the company's in-line rare disease respiratory product. This position is integral to the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies and tactics aimed at ensuring the brand's success in the healthcare professional (HCP) market. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to create and implement plans that utilize both personal and non-personal promotional efforts to effectively communicate the brand's core value story. This includes optimizing message delivery through traditional and innovative channels, ensuring alignment with customer insights, and adapting strategies based on performance metrics. In addition to strategic development, the Associate Director will manage relationships with external partners, including the brand's HCP Agency of Record and media agency, while working in compliance with legal, regulatory, and medical standards. The role requires establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HCP experts and professional societies, to foster collaboration and shared interests. The individual will also be responsible for managing the marketing budget in partnership with financial business colleagues, ensuring that all marketing activities are executed within budgetary constraints. As a product champion, the Associate Director must maintain a deep understanding of the therapy areas relevant to the brand and uphold a culture of compliance within the marketing team. This position reports to the Senior Director, HCP and Payer Lead, and does not have any direct reports. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the strategy for the brand's personal and non-personal promotional efforts with HCPs
  • Identify effective messages to communicate the brand's core value story; optimize delivery to customers through both traditional and innovative channels
  • Collaborate with Commercial Effectiveness colleagues to ensure strategies and tactics are aligned to customer insights and optimized based on performance
  • Partner with Sales and Training to ensure brand strategy and tactics are pulled through, including via regional and national sales meetings
  • Manage the brand's HCP Agency of Record and media agency
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners including Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Medical Affairs, to align and compliantly execute key tactical activities
  • Ensure alignment within Marketing team and across franchise teams
  • Establish strong relationships and develop collaborative areas of shared interest with key stakeholders, including HCP experts and professional societies
  • Work closely with the financial business partner to manage spend to budget
  • Be a product champion and maintain knowledge of therapy areas
  • Ensure culture of compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years pharmaceutical experience in brand management/marketing in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in HCP personal and non-personal promotion preferred
  • Experience in sales preferred
  • Experience in managing external partners (e.g. consultants, agencies)
  • Proven ability to develop exceptional relationships and have an impact on or appropriately influence others
  • Orphan or rare disease experience (pulmonary preferred)
  • A track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics that have delivered strong commercial results
  • Successful track record of U.S. product launch experience also preferred
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional, high-performance teams
  • Highly learning agile

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and project management skills
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness
