About the position

As an Associate Director on the EMD marketing team at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies and tactics focused on the healthcare professional (HCP) audience, particularly in the field of epilepsy. This position is essential for leading various initiatives that encompass both short-term execution and the establishment of new capabilities that will ensure the brand's success in the mid to long term. The ideal candidate will possess strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills, a proven track record of successful execution, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for serving patients while embodying the core values of Jazz Pharmaceuticals. In this role, you will be expected to participate in and lead portions of the development of an integrated Strategic Brand Plan. You will also lead the implementation of both branded and unbranded marketing campaigns aimed at effectively reaching and engaging target HCPs, including initiatives focused on Long-Term Care. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research, including advisory boards, to uncover insights and market trends that can inform insight-based strategies and tactics to address key unmet needs for the brand. You will oversee all elements of the HCP media strategy, which includes targeting, creative development and placement, setting KPIs, monitoring performance, budget management, and campaign optimizations. Collaboration with sales training will be crucial to develop content that ensures effective execution of promotional resources. Additionally, you will create and manage segments of the annual HCP Marketing budget, ensuring that individual programs and tactics are delivered on time and within the forecasted budget. The role requires leading the approval process for HCP Marketing programs and materials, including navigating the internal Medical/Legal/Regulatory review process. You will partner with various functions, teams, and vendors to execute projects on time and within budget, while representing the brand vision and marketing team objectives at all times, adhering to regulatory, medical, and compliance marketing parameters.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree OR Master's degree and 4 years of marketing and media experience OR Bachelor's degree and 6 years of marketing and media experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in marketing, market access, project management, sales, or commercial analytics.
  • Proven record of effectively leading cross-functional teams and influencing multiple levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and tailor communication style to partners.
  • Self-starter with excellent project management skills and the ability to deliver on multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven record of successful vendor management, specifically as lead for agency partners.
  • Demonstrated history of good judgement, problem solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets and navigating legal/regulatory/medical processes.
