About the position

The Associate Director, Incentive Compensation Design & Analytics for the Inflammation & Bone Business Unit at Amgen plays a crucial role in optimizing the sales incentive plans and contest design strategy. This position is responsible for aligning the incentive compensation strategy with the organization's goals, ensuring fair rewards for the sales team, and analyzing the effectiveness of these plans. The role involves collaboration with senior commercial leaders and cross-functional teams to drive commercial success and enhance the overall field experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of incentive plans and programs for the Inflammation & Bone Business Unit.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior commercial leaders regarding incentive compensation plan and contest design.
  • Develop the incentive compensation design strategy in collaboration with senior sales and brand leadership.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of incentive compensation plans using data analysis and feedback.
  • Coordinate with a 3rd party team for the administration and operations of incentive compensation plans and contests.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing incentive compensation design and operations processes.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and 3 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience, or
  • Master's degree and 5 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience, or
  • Associate's degree and 12 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience, or
  • High school diploma / GED and 14 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing incentive compensation plans.
  • 6+ years of sales leadership or sales operations experience in a large and complex organization.
