About the position

The Associate Director, Incentive Compensation Design & Analytics for the Oncology Business Unit at Amgen plays a crucial role in optimizing sales incentive plans and contest design strategies. This position is responsible for aligning incentive compensation with the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring fair rewards for the sales team, and analyzing the effectiveness of these plans. The role involves collaboration with senior commercial leaders and cross-functional teams to drive commercial success and enhance the overall field experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of incentive plans and programs for the Oncology Business Unit.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior commercial leaders regarding incentive compensation plan and contest design deliverables.
  • Develop the incentive compensation design strategy in collaboration with senior sales and brand leadership.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of incentive compensation plans using data analysis and field feedback.
  • Coordinate with a 3rd party team for the administration and operations of incentive compensation plans, contests, and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing incentive compensation design and processes, implementing solutions for improvement.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and 3 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience, or
  • Master's degree and 5 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience, or
  • Associate's degree and 12 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience, or
  • High school diploma / GED and 14 years of sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing incentive compensation plans.
  • 6+ years of sales leadership or sales operations experience in a large and complex organization.
