About the position

The Associate Director, Integrated Marketing and Communications, plays a crucial role in supporting the strategy, planning, and execution of key initiatives for the Alzheimer's Association. This position focuses on integrated marketing and communications for major constituent events, ensuring effective outreach to current and new audiences while enhancing the Association's brand. The role involves collaboration across various teams to implement strategic marketing plans and create engaging content for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as part of the integrated marketing and communications team for community and development, focusing on constituent events.
  • Support the strategy, planning, and execution of key community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans, including project planning and key message development.
  • Write clear, engaging mission-focused messaging for various channels and audiences.
  • Collaborate, edit, and proofread copy from business partners and team members.
  • Direct and coordinate the creation of content for constituent events, including marketing materials and advertising campaigns.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop and evolve planning processes and tools for effective outcomes.
  • Uphold the organization's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ensure effective use of resources to maximize impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in nonprofit marketing and communications, preferably in a national position.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and creativity.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence diverse staff and volunteers.
  • Commitment to ethics, integrity, and support for team members.

Nice-to-haves
