The Associate Director IT will provide overall leadership for providing cybersecurity consulting services for partners and teams across VUMC, properly assessing and aligning requests with the proper cybersecurity specialists, and will also support the changes and additions of new projects and technologies. This role involves developing goals and objectives for the department based on interpretation of institutional policy and goals, ensuring the most effective operations of the department through program development, process improvement, and coordination/integration of processes with other departments. Additionally, the Associate Director will identify, establish, and evaluate quality assurance standards, programs, and procedures within the department.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Background as a practitioner in cybersecurity operations (healthcare vertical preferred)
  • General cybersecurity experience with experience in multiple IT disciplines.
  • Cybersecurity system and architecture design experience and IT system design experience (on-prem and cloud)
  • Experience in IT projects, IT processes, and process improvement
  • Cybersecurity staff management experience
  • Experience solving IT cybersecurity 'risk gaps' with appropriate controls.
