About the position

The Associate Director, IT Software Engineer at UBS Business Solutions US LLC is responsible for managing the design and development of computer applications. This role involves analyzing both functional and non-functional requirements, creating project plans, and ensuring the integration of multiple applications within the system. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide the team and coordinate with various stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

  • Manage products to design computer applications.
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements of new and existing applications.
  • Analyze data in files/databases and design new systems or improve existing ones.
  • Design interfaces for multiple applications to work as an integrated system.
  • Assess existing software products and utilize them in the PMR environment.
  • Create project planning including effort estimation for new projects and enhancements.
  • Create a sprint plan to capture tasks in JIRA, assign tasks to team members, and track their status.
  • Perform capacity planning and assign resources to all projects.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including business, QA, and application teams.
  • Address defects raised by the QA team and ensure resolution within SLA.
  • Record identified errors in defect logs before fixing issues.
  • Identify and address risks or gaps that could delay project delivery timelines.
  • Perform integration testing in QA and UAT lanes to ensure operational systems.
  • Prepare implementation plans and follow organizational processes for implementation.
  • Create system architecture design and maintenance documents.
  • Guide the team with technical and functional knowledge.
  • Identify and remedy technical and operational risks in the system.
  • Use various technologies to build efficient and scalable applications.
  • Develop new modules and perform unit testing and code analysis before deployment to QA.
  • Create test plans and test cases for future use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Technology Specialist, Technical Lead, Senior Software Engineer, Project Engineer, or a related occupation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with JIRA for project management and task tracking.
  • Familiarity with integration testing processes.
  • Knowledge of system architecture design.
