About the position

The Associate Director of Major Gifts (ADMG) for the College of Engineering will be responsible for building and managing a national portfolio of major gift-rated individual donors. This role focuses on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects and donors capable of making significant contributions, ranging from $100K to $1M. The ADMG will work closely with faculty and various departments to enhance philanthropic commitments and support initiatives aimed at underrepresented minority students, scholarships, and innovative research spaces.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of approximately 125 leadership and major gift prospects.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit prospects for gifts ranging from $25K to $1M.
• Employ innovative engagement and solicitation strategies to enhance donor relationships.
• Partner with directors and department heads to identify fundraising opportunities and create new initiatives.
• Collaborate with Advancement colleagues on donor engagement strategies to meet donor interests.
• Use Salesforce to log activities, create reports, and maintain data integrity of the prospect portfolio.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3-5 years of progressive fundraising experience.
• Track record of soliciting and closing major gifts at the 5-, 6-, and 7-figure levels.
• Ability to travel, including nights and weekends.
