About the position

The Marketing Communications team at Vista Equity Partners is responsible for spearheading all marketing and corporate communications initiatives on behalf of the Firm. This team plays a pivotal role in shaping and conveying Vista's brand message, both internally and externally. The team manages internal communications to ensure cohesive and effective information flow within the organization, while also orchestrating external campaigns that enhance Vista's market presence and engagement with stakeholders. Through strategic planning and creative execution, the Marketing Communications team supports the company's corporate strategy and objectives, driving the Firm's visibility and reputation. Vista is seeking an Associate Director to join our Marketing Communications team as a marketing leader in digital-first paid media. This role reports into the Director, Marketing Communications, who oversees Brand & Digital programs and will own the strategy and execution of paid media campaigns to maximize the reach and impact of our corporate brand strategy. This role will implement a strategic vision to grow and scale our team's paid media capabilities, driving integrated campaigns and results that increase brand awareness, consideration and engagement. The successful candidate will drive channel strategy, enhance data-driven approaches, provide thought leadership to stakeholders, and deliver tangible results and continuous improvement in support of our brand and business objectives. This role is based in Austin, TX and is for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Channel Strategy Development: Effectively translate business strategies and objectives into digital marketing initiatives and campaigns leveraging paid media and well-defined target audiences.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including but not limited to social media, email and search engines.
  • Performance Analysis: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns, analyze data to identify trends and insights, and adjust strategies and creative as needed. Develop dashboards and results reporting to communicate effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Internal and External Collaboration: Ensure digital activities are fully integrated with broader marketing team initiatives. Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners or agencies to drive projects, manage expectations as well as to educate.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage paid media spend, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and optimal ROI.
  • Creative Strategy: Oversee asset creation and distribution of engaging and relevant content across digital media tactics.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay up to date with our industry and competitors and the latest in digital marketing trends, tools and technologies to incorporate innovative approaches into marketing plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in digital media marketing.
  • Experience in successfully developing targeted media plans and data-driven strategies and campaigns across paid channels.
  • Effective in campaign tracking and measurement, translating results for stakeholders and leveraging data and insights to optimize campaigns and explore new opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled project manager with the ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience working in partnership with external agencies and resources to execute and drive project goals.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex topics and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; experience working in highly regulated environments is a plus.
  • Established track record of achieving objectives requiring a high level of cooperation from cross-functional partners, including Legal and Compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred candidates have experience in management of direct reports and with marketing to B2B paid media in financial services.
