About the position

The Associate Director, Marketing Operations and Analytics at Facing History & Ourselves is a pivotal role within the Marketing Operations team, focusing on the development and execution of a comprehensive audience-insights program. This position is designed for an experienced marketing technology and analytics professional who will be responsible for analyzing marketing efforts and engagement from educators and donors. The role involves co-leading the delivery and continuous improvement of the organization’s marketing technology stack, which includes platforms such as Hubspot, Segment, and BigQuery. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with the Digital and CRM teams to enhance audience data and engagement strategies, ensuring that the organization can effectively understand and respond to the needs of its audience. In this role, the Associate Director will act as a key thought partner with Marketing and Tech leadership, managing the Hubspot platform and its complex workflows, as well as overseeing the integration with Salesforce. They will also manage Segment, ensuring seamless data flow across the marketing technology stack to support audience analysis and the marketing funnel. Additionally, the Associate Director will co-manage BigQuery and Google Analytics 4, working alongside marketing and digital operations colleagues to drive audience analytics and reporting. The position requires a strategic thinker who can synthesize data into actionable insights, creating narratives that help the organization understand behavior and campaign performance. The Associate Director will work closely with the Data Analyst to develop dashboards for audience engagement and digital marketing, define marketing funnel KPIs, and align stakeholders on performance metrics. This role is essential for building cross-functional relationships and ensuring that data-driven decisions are at the forefront of the organization’s marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Help create a robust audience-insights program to analyze marketing efforts and engagement.
  • Co-lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the marketing technology stack, including Hubspot, Segment, and BigQuery.
  • Manage the Hubspot platform, including complex workflow rules and integration with Salesforce.
  • Oversee Segment to ensure seamless data flow across the marketing technology stack.
  • Co-manage BigQuery and ongoing audience analytics work.
  • Manage Google Analytics 4 and GTM in collaboration with marketing and digital operations colleagues.
  • Work closely with the Data Analyst on audience reporting and developing dashboards for audience engagement and digital marketing needs.
  • Define and track marketing funnel KPIs, aligning stakeholders on definitions and benchmarks.
  • Co-create a robust audience-insights program with CRM, Digital, and Marketing colleagues.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in marketing technology and analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, analytics, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Deep understanding of data platforms and analytics tools.
  • Experience building dashboards using data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 and BigQuery.
  • Experience with Marketing and CRM tools, especially Hubspot and Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with working with a Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • Familiarity with SQL, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
  • Ability to work independently and perform analysis from data sets.
  • Proficiency in developing and overseeing dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
